Gov. Rendell Signs New Pa. State Budget Into Law
A state budget that boosts education spending and borrows for energy, infrastructure and economic development projects easily passed the state Legislature on Friday and was signed into law by a visibly pleased Gov. Ed Rendell.
Stowe Township Suspect Released From Custody
Allegheny County Police have released a man who was considered a suspect in a double murder in Stowe Township. Investigators believe someone broke into a home Friday morning on Valley Street near Sto-Rox High School and killed 45-year-old Sonsiarae Watts and 44-year-old Dahl Palm.
Man Shot In St. Clair Village
Police are investigating a shooting in St. Clair Village. A man was reportedly shot in the leg in the 900 block of Cresswell Street.
